Notes from the Newbie

So I’ve moved into Just Kampers Towers, have decorated a little with a simple blog and I have to say my first impression of the place has been overwhelming.

Firstly, I was told how beautiful the barn HQ was before I arrived but I really didn’t prepare myself to find the grounds as scenic as they are. You could hold the perfect wedding here without a problem - that is if you wanted to give the Managing Director an excuse to give us extra work as event organisers!

No, I think we better stick to what we are good at – providing you guys with fantastic parts from all over the world at the best possible prices.

The Just Kampers team have been amazing, making me feel like part of the gang in such a short space of time. One of my first tasks has been promoting our new, discounted Driveaway Spacemaker Tunnel Awning. I even quickly put one up so I knew exactly what I was writing about. When you see them standing there without the help of a camper you have to admit they are pretty cool.

One thing I would really like to hear about is your restoration success stories – that is if you are modest enough to let me put you on the site. I figured if enthusiasts could log onto JustKampers.com and learn about someone else’s achievements; nothing would be more inspiring for their Beetle and Campervan projects.

I really hope you guys enjoy catching up on news and events about everything that goes on at your favourite Volkswagen parts provider.

Bristol VolksFest 2009

Whether you visit for the day or stay for the whole weekend, Bristol’s VolksFest is set to top the success of previous years.

The annual event, set in the Wraxell’s beautiful country side, runs from 5th to 7th of June.
Complete with a Lovebug theme, this year’s extravaganza includes BMX racing, VW Painting and Urban Street Art for the younger Beetle and Kamper fans and musical entertainment from glam rock band Doreen Doreen!

But event organisers have not forgotten first and foremost to please the loyal Volkswagen Beetle and Kamper enthusiasts with expert traders such as JustKampers on hand to offer advice and guidance on parts and paint.

Event organiser, Adrian Ashby told JustKampers, “The introduction of the Car Service’s Yard is an improvement on last year we are very excited about. This year doesn’t lose sight of pleasing the VW fans. We’re offering everything from engine diagnostics carried out by Volkswagen experts to great paint strips and pinstripes and small repairs.”

JustKampers will be trading at the event so be sure to come over and say hi.

Plymouth Volksfest 2009

A long weekend of action, games and music awaits visitors to Plymouth’s VolksFest this month. With Plymouth’s busy city centre nearby; Newham Park’s picturesque 1550 acre country is perfect host to the annual event.

From paintball battles and BMX racing to Engine HQ’s with Elite traders such as JustKampers, there is sure to be something lying in wait for everyone. Even the kids can join in the fun with balloon modelling and magic tricks, a Bucking Bronco and Surf Simulator and even a circus workshop run by F.L.A.M.E fire jugglers. We’re told big clowns are also welcome!

Highlights for the weekend are surely the Gangster fancy dress family disco for the whole family on Saturday evening and a cruise of the nearby Moors. (Dates yet to be arranged.)

Stanford Hall VW 2009

Just Kampers will be attending the Stanford Hall VW Show 2009 on Sunday 3rd May 2009. Look out for the usual JK stand, our staff will be taking orders and answering any questions you have on the day so come and check out the stand and say 'Hi!'

The show is now in its 33rd year but for newcomers to the event, Stanford Hall is a stately home set in large grounds in open countryside on the South Leicestershire border. It is in the quiet village of Stanford-on-Avon, which is 5 miles south-east of Lutterworth, and 2 miles east of Swinford. Seen by many as one of the shining examples of the show-season, this is a very relaxed show which is also family friendly.

Admission to Stanford Hall VW is £7.00 for adults and £1.00 for children, but this does not cover admission to the stately home itself. Dogs are allowed, but the organisers insist they be kept on a lead and under control at all times.

There will be a number of catering stands on site ranging from doughnuts through to burgers, fish & chips to speciality food. Or you could even try a leisurely afternoon tea in Stanford Hall's own tearoom.

With that said - we hope to see you all there!
